At any time of year Oxford has something special to offer but in the spring one of Oxford’s oldest customs takes place. The May Morning ceremony has been staged on Magdalen Bridge since 1650,to the accompaniment of hymns sung in Latin followed by Morris dancing.

From the M40 exit at junction 8 and follow the A40 into Oxford continue on this road until you reach the junction for the Oxford ring road. At this junction continue straight on and again proceed along this road through the centre of Headington. Again continue along this road passing Brookes University on your right and then South Park will also come up on your right. At the next junction continue straight on for 200 yards and Citygate will be directly on your right on St Clements Street
